Jackpine Announces a Change of Direction at Reloads in Birmingham, AL and Oakwood, GA.

Williams Lake, B.C. – April 3, 2008

For the past few months, the Jackpine Group of Companies and Welco Lumber Corp. had collaborated in a trial marketing venture in the US South East. With the benefit of hindsight, we could not have chosen a more challenging time in our industry’s history to attempt such an endeavour.  

Effective immediately Jackpine will resume the sales and marketing of its studs via rail from the mill and or trucks from the Birmingham Reload yard. Welco will continue to offer their full line of products including Jackpine studs from their numerous reload operations.

Jackpine is a privately owned British Columbia company and has been in operation since 1987. Since 1999, the Jackpine has serviced its US South East customers’ just in time inventory needs from its Reload yard inventory in Birmingham, AL.
