Jackpine Forest Products Ltd. is a leader in the re-manufacturing and value added industry in Canada.
Established in 1987 by a trio of venturesome entrepreneurs looking to secure a promising future, the Sandhu family with the assistance of two venture capital corporations acquired the assets of a small sawmill in Williams Lake, B.C., Canada.
With the advent of the Small Business Forest Enterprise Program, the company ventured into the value added sector of the forest industry. A new remanufacturing and value added plant was built in 1989 to produce a host of value added products for the North American and the Pacific Rim markets.
In early 1993 disaster struck, and the Jackpine facilities burnt to the ground. Unwilling to be discouraged from his commitment to the community and the value added industry, Jackpine President and C.E.O. Gian S. Sandhu, immediately implemented plans to rebuild.
Situated on a ten-acre parcel of land, state-of-the-art equipment is housed in a heated building. This manufacturing facility includes a complete finger joint line, steam dry kilns, moulders and planer, pallet manufacturing equipment and precision end component equipment.
Currently Jackpine Forest Products Ltd. employs in excess of 160 people at this location. The success of our company can be partially attributed to the loyalty and dedication of its management and employees and the continued support of its suppliers and customers.
At Jackpine, our commitment is to meet and exceed the challenges of an ever-changing market, and to maintain our proven track record as a leader in the field of value added wood processing.
