Jackpine Engineered Wood Products

In 1998 the senior management group of Jackpine Forest Products Ltd. spoke of their vision, to create a state-of-the-art value added production facility that could meet and exceed the special needs of our customers. By late 1999 their vision became a reality with the grand opening of the Jackpine Engineered Wood Products Inc. plant.

Located one kilometre from our head office on a 178 acre site in Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada, this facility produces a variety of products, mainly from Western SPF.

The JEWP facility is housed in a 90,000 square foot building consisting of three production divisions, the Joist & Rafter Division, the Lamination Division and the Machine Stress Rating (MSR) Division.

Our Joist & Rafter operations produce multi-dimension finger- jointed, tension-tested floor joist, rafters, I-joist flanges and fascia stock. In order to better serve the needs of our customers, our production capabilities include products ranging from 8 feet in length to a maximum of 60’ 6".

The second area of specialization is our Laminating Division, here we manufacture edge-glue furniture panels and shelving. This area houses a state-of-the-art AT Innova, continuous flow hot edge glue pressline, which is one-of-a-kind in North America. This machine enables us to sort, feed, glue and press simultaneously, as well as offers the flexibility to produce any size of panel that our customers may require.

Our MSR division is the most recent addition to this facility. Opened in early 2002, this area specializes in the production of MSR 1650 and 2100 stock.
